Sometimes daily billing makes sense

Although, Hourly billing punishes expertise, there are cases where some loose coupling to time is useful in billing.

If one is doing strategy and stewardship both, a time-based billing approach makes sense.

When work goes through different contexts, and either expand upwards/sideways too, you don’t have enough experience to scope and price. It is hard to control the inputs and outputs. Strategic work, by definition, can be fuzzy and scoping can be dangerous.
