Manufactured fun is not fun

Often in the service of vague notions of ‘team bonding’ fun is attempted to be manufactured by Leadership. This is a mistake, since it can only be grown. So much so, that we might be able to manufacture meat artificially before fun.

Such manufactured fun is usually attempted to be enforced by people with beaming smiles, thereby defeating the purpose. Because enforcement is usually fun only for the enforcers. Because enforcement usually divides the enforcers and enforcees. Because enforcement is just not fun.

A much more reliable way is to just do hard things together.
